Of non-polluting essence, our products come from natural and renewable raw materials. Its production process is clean and made from agricultural waste.
At some stages of the production, renewable energy is used instead of fossil fuels.
Unlike plastic, which lasts for hundreds of years, our products only last as long as they have to. If correctly discarded and decomposed in a domestic or industrial environment - so that they fulfil their purpose: serve as food and fertilizer to the soil – their lifespan will not exceed 90 days.
Despite representing an ecological product manufactured through a process aiming sustainability, compostable products require proper and conscious disposal. They must be separated from other materials and deposited together, and only, with organic waste. Ideally, this waste mixture (especially when in large quantities) should be collected and sent to a compost landfill. You can obtain more information about the collection and treatment of waste in Portugal here and about the 19 Portuguese organic recovery plants (mechanical treatment plants, biological, composting plants and anaerobic digestion plants) here.

The use of compostable products is still in its beginning, although there continues to be a great demand for disposable utensils and packaging that can replace plastic.
Compostable products are a healthy alternative to plastic products, enabling, in addition to ecological gains, the continuous production of natural raw materials used in their manufacture. Its manufacturing process promotes the reuse of organic waste, while helping to reduce it in landfills and contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.
Composting systems for these products are also much cheaper than the known waste incineration systems. The compost generated in its decomposition process can be used to increase the carbon content in the soil, keeping it fertile and healthy for cultivation.
